Paul is a Fellow of the Explorers Club, and current Chair of the Portugal Chapter. He has organised and participated in more than 20 expeditions including four Explorers Club flag expeditions. He has successfully scaled Mount Everest and Lhotse, the worlds highest and fourth highest peak within 24 hours as well as the highest mountain on every continent (“7 Summits”). He has achieved first ascents Antarctica and China and together with his wife he completed the first continuous “circum-climb” of Hong Kong Island along its coastline to map water quality pollution. He has simulated a lunar environment in a lava tube for ESA and has successfully identified a missing US WW2 warplane in the HK jungle.
